Job overview

To deliver and maintain a professional administrative service to the Cancer Directorate and all users patients, relatives and colleagues.

Main duties of the job

Direct contact with patients.

Greet visitors face-to-face and respond to requests for a range of information.

Receive and respond to telephone calls dealing with a range of requests.

Receive and respond to emails for a range of requests.

Book appointments and transport.

Check patient information.

Photocopy and filing.

Input information on Trust systems.

Attend handover meetings as required taking notes when necessary.

Ensure all tests/treatments requested are booked.

Cover Saturday/Sunday shifts on a rotational basis, plus some Bank Holidays.
