Job overview

Join our dedicated Mortuary and Postmortem team and play a vital role in delivering a dignified, compassionate and high‑quality service.

Based at Wexham Park Hospital, you will support the Senior and Chief Anatomical Technicians in the efficient running of the Postmortem Room and Mortuary, ensuring full compliance with Human Tissue Authority standards across body storage, scheduled purposes and governance.

You’ll experience interesting and varied cases daily, including coronial and forensic work, contributing to delicate, respectful and meaningful preparation of the deceased.

Your care helps create heartfelt moments for families and supports the integrity of investigations.

You’ll be part of a close, supportive team with a positive work ethic, strong team ethos and opportunities for autonomous working.

Professional development is central to the role, with the chance to train towards the Level 4 NVQ with dedicated support and time.

You’ll also have opportunities to attend the AAPT Annual Seminar, building networks and expanding your expertise.

Our recently refurbished Mortuary, complete with new storage and PM facilities, provides a modern, safe and efficient environment to develop your skills and deliver exceptional care.

If you’re compassionate, motivated and ready to build a meaningful career in Anatomical Pathology, we’d love to hear from you.
