We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Oakwood, a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton.

The site offers:

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

4 week shift plan.

Salary:

£59,677-£66,792 per annum.

Main duties of the job

As a Advanced Clinical Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems
  • Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team, This multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including; mental health, and substance misuse practitioners
  • You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times
  • Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients
  • As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.

Qualifications required:

  • Registered Nurse - NMC in Adult or Mental Health
  • Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
  • RSCP Part 1 & 2 is Essential
  • Experience in Substance Misuse prescribing is Essential
  • MSc in Advanced Practice
  • Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
