Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join the Skin Integrity Service team.
The Administrator plays a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality service for the patients who use the Skin Integrity Service. The role involves managing referral pathways, coordinating bookings and team diaries, and providing efficient administrative support to help ensure the service runs smoothly.
Working closely with colleagues, patients and external partners, the post holder will communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds and with diverse needs, delivering a professional, responsive and compassionate service.
Applicants should have strong IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Office applications, together with excellent organisational, time management and minute-taking skills. Experience of working in a busy administrative environment and the ability to prioritise competing demands would be beneficial.

Main duties of the job
Key Duties:
- Work collaboratively as an administrator within a comprehensive administrative service for SKIN specialist services
- Work independently using initiative as well as being part of the team to complete defined role
- Work flexibly to meet the demands of the service, covering holiday and sickness to ensure a smooth administrative service
- Process referrals onto the EMIS system and process all associated tasks within service operational protocols including flagging any urgent referrals
- Book clinical appointments and manage cancellations efficiently
- Be responsible for discharging patients in accordance with local policy
- Answer telephone queries, taking accurate messages and dealing with them appropriately
- Ensure own and team mailboxes are regularly checked and dealt within an appropriate time
- Provide administrative support e.g. typing printing, scanning, minute taking, producing letters, dealing with post, disposal of sensitive material
- Act in a professional, respectful and helpful manner at all times in line with Sirona values detailed below
- Respond to patient enquiries with appropriate advice and empathy
- Provide support to the senior administrators within the SKIN team
- Prioritise tasks effectively and complete work within specified deadlines, with flexibility and the ability to adapt when needed.
- Receive regular management supervision and participate in performance review
