Job summary

Due to growing administration needs in the practice, Blandford Medical Centre in Braintree is looking for a full-time administrative assistant to join our team for four or five days per week (37.5 hours), Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

The role of an administration assistant will include but is not limited to the following tasks:

  • Processing all correspondence that comes to the practice
  • Updating medical records
  • Sending and supporting referrals
  • Subject access requests
  • Filing and coding
  • Updating patient demographics
  • Supporting patients with online access
  • Summarising
  • Medical records and insurance documentation
  • Telephone queries
  • Overseeing and allocating outstanding tasks
  • Updating the non-patient data

  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently
