Band 2 Admin Assistant/Receptionist (Bracknell - Chemotherapy)

This is a part-time post for 30 hours p/w.

Are you an organised, friendly, and customer-focused individual looking to make a difference in a busy healthcare environment? We are seeking an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to provide essential administrative and reception support, helping to deliver high-quality patient care.

As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will provide a professional welcome, manage appointments, answer telephone enquiries, and maintain accurate patient records using electronic patient record (EPR) systems. Working closely with nursing, medical, and administrative teams, you will help ensure the smooth running of outpatient clinics and a positive patient experience.

The role also includes a range of administrative duties such as preparing clinic documentation, arranging transport and interpreters where required, monitoring supplies, taking meeting minutes, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the service.

We are looking for someone with previous administrative experience, excellent communication and organisational skills, strong IT literacy, and a professional, compassionate approach. Experience in an NHS or healthcare setting and knowledge of EPR systems would be an advantage but are not essential.

In return, you'll join a supportive team with access to training, development opportunities, and the chance to build a rewarding career within the Trust.

  • Liaise with clinical teams, medical secretaries, and other departments to support the smooth running of clinics.
  • Arrange patient transport, interpreters, and follow-up appointments where required.
  • Respond to patient enquiries and provide information on clinic waiting times and appointments.
  • Undertake a range of general administrative duties, including filing, stock monitoring, minute taking, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Ensure patient information is handled confidentially and in line with data protection requirements.
  • Support a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment by following Trust policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent patient experience while meeting service deadlines.
