Acute Medical Clinic (AMC) Coordinator

Do you have the care certificate and advanced clinical skills like phlebotomy and taking ECG's? Are you looking for a Monday to Friday role that uses your clinical competencies and develops your admin and clerical skills?

The AMC is an integral part of the medical Same Day Emergency Care based on Richmond AMU. The purpose of the AMC is to maximise admission avoidance opportunities and provide follow up for patients who are discharged from the Acute Medicine Unit.

The AMC coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Acute Medicine Clinic. You'll be expected to ensure that the medical team have everything they need before seeing their patients such as notes, test results, bloods and baseline observations. You'll need to have good clinical and interpersonal skills and be able to manage the clerical and admin tasks that come with organising a busy clinic.

Main duties of the job

The Clinic Co-ordinator role is essential to the smooth running of the AMC. The post-holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and have responsibility for providing a high quality administrative, clerical, and clinical service to the AMC.

  • Computer literate - able to use MS office - email, word etc.

  • Clerical / admin experience

  • Care Certificate Completion.
