Post 1: Support Secretary

An outstanding opportunity for  support secretaries has arisen within the Clinical Admin Service.

Would you like to take on a role that provides you with ownership of your work? Would you like to be creative in your approach and be responsible for supporting and ensuring our patients receive the best quality of care by using your skills and experience and our Trust's values and behaviours.

We have vacancies in the following areas: Breast Surgery - 37.5 hours per week Cardiology - 34 hours per week Gastroenterology - 22.5 hours per week General Surgery - 15 hours per week

Post 2 - Community Administration Support

Macclesfield  Integrated Community Nursing and Therapy Team are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to provide administrative and secretarial support to the multi-disciplinary team.

The role is based from Waters Green Medical Centre working 24 hours a week.  Days and working hours per day are negotiable for the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job

Support Secretary

To provide an efficient and effective typing and administration function to the team. The post requires fast and accurate audio typing skills, and a sound knowledge of  medical terminology.

Good communication, organisational skills, and previous secretarial experience is essential as is experience of dealing with sensitive information.  Knowledge of medical terminology and previous experience using hospital based IT systems such as PAS and Medisec will be advantageous.

Community Administration Support

To provide administrative and secretarial support for the integrated community nursing and therapy care community team.

The post holder will often be the first point of contact for patients and clinicians and will be expected to work independently using their own initiative with minimal direct supervision.
