Are you looking to take a step up in your psychotherapy career? Or do you want a change of clinical scene working with children and adolescences?
We are recruiting an ACP registered Psychotherapist to work with our Children and Young Person's mental health team (CAMHS) in Buckinghamshire.
You will be part of an experienced and reflective multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatry, psychology, social work, mental health nursing and family therapy. We have a supportive child psychotherapy team in the service, which meets regularly and work collaboratively.
You will have a protected child psychotherapy caseload, as well as offering generic and specialist assessments. You will offer a range of psychotherapy interventions including individual child psychotherapy, STPP, State of Mind Assessments and parent-child relationship focused interventions. The MDT values psychoanalytic thinking and you will have the skills to make thoughtful contributions to MDT both in wider team meetings and through consultation. You will receive regular clinical supervision from our principal child psychotherapist, as well as management.
In addition, you will be part of a team of child psychotherapists across Oxford Health Trust who meet regularly to share our work and consider new learning.
We currently have a hybrid (remote) working model, with days spread across home and our bases in High Wycombe and Aylesbury.
Applicants must have a full valid driving license and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.
We hope that the advert has given you a clear understanding of the skills we are seeking and the opportunity at hand. You will need to use the “supporting statement” element of your application form to demonstrate your suitability for this role and you should refer to the job description, person specification and the guidance notes attached to this role to help you tailor your application. The essential and desirable criteria will be used to shortlist for interview and you should ensure that you refer to these within your application to increase your chances of being selected for interview.
