Nursing and AHP vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses/AHPs.

Join our dedicated Wound Centre Service, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to housebound patients with complex wounds across East Kent. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team aligned to Primary Care Networks, you will provide specialist wound care in clinic settings, supported by Patient Transport, and in patients' own homes where required.

You will deliver evidence-based interventions and holistic assessments that promote healing, independence and improved quality of life. The service works closely with Community Nursing teams to provide integrated care and ensure patients receive the right treatment at the right time.

This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, enabling you to build advanced clinical skills through training and specialist support. Interventions commonly include wound management for leg ulcers and post-operative wounds, lower limb and Doppler assessments, VAC therapy, maggot therapy, and health promotion for patients living with long-term conditions.

Main duties of the job

As a Wound Clinic Practitioner, no two days are the same. You will manage a varied caseload, providing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of personalised care for patients with complex wound care needs.

Your responsibilities will include changing wound dressings, catheter care, undertaking holistic assessments and delivering clinical interventions within your scope of practice. You will work in partnership with patients to develop integrated care plans that support their health goals and promote self-management wherever possible.

The role also includes supporting the supervision and development of junior colleagues, Healthcare Assistants and students, helping to maintain high standards of care across the service. Working collaboratively with community and primary care teams, you will contribute to safe, effective and compassionate care that makes a real difference to patients across East Kent.
