Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a process-oriented, enthusiastic and proactive individual with strong Power BI and SQL skills and the willingness to learn advanced NHS Workforce coding datasets to join our small and busy Workforce Systems and Information Team. Working directly with senior leads in Workforce and across the Organisation, you will manage provision of key aspects of information / reporting related to Operational Planning and activity. You will be supporting our Workforce Planning and Systems Manager directly as well as working closely with our Workforce Information Analysts.
In this specialist role, you will develop new processes to support operational planning, data collection and monitoring as well as creating / updating Workforce reports. This will be done using a wide variety of tools, such as R Studio, SQL (including subqueries/CTEs), Power BI and Excel.

Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the role are to support the Workforce Planning and Systems Manager in the delivery of the Operational Workforce Plan and in the delivery of ongoing information associated with the Operational Plan.
The role will include developing and administering the information production process and report delivery for Workforce Operational Planning monitoring and supporting the ongoing reconciliation with Finance. It will also include the provision of regular reports and ad-hoc requests for information in relation to the Trusts information needs in this area, using industry-standard tools such as SQL and Power BI as well as national templates.
You will develop and collate data and reports to deliver recruitment pipeline and widening participation engagement monitoring and analysis, working with our Senior Workforce Information Analyst on certain projects.
You will also work closely with Finance and Organisational Change leads on development of vacancy control monitoring and organisational change tracking.
