An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Workforce Development Team at the North West Ambulance Service for a Workforce Development Administrator. It is a full-time role on a fixed term basis to provide secondment cover (37.5 hours per week) and is based at Trust Headquarters at Ladybridge Hall, Bolton.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can provide effective administrative support to the Workforce Development Team. This is a varied role which will involve supporting learning administration, learner onboarding, data input, management reporting processes and wider education and learning activity across the Trust.

You will need to be confident using Microsoft Office, able to manage competing priorities, and comfortable working with information that may be confidential or sensitive. You will also need good communication skills and the ability to work positively with colleagues, learners and stakeholders across the organisation.

As a valued member of the Workforce Development Team, you will find this to be a busy, varied, and fun role. You will support the delivery of high-quality education, learning and workforce development activity across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Tasks will include:

  • Providing general daily administrative support to the Workforce Development Team, including diary management, meeting coordination and responding to enquiries.
  • Supporting learner onboarding processes and ensuring document is completed and maintained to the required standard.
  • Maintaining learner files, training records, spreadsheets and databases, ensuring information is accurate, update to date and appropriately stored.
  • Supporting data input, analysis and reporting to inform management reporting and workforce development activity.
  • Attending departmental meetings when required, taking notes and distributing actions.
  • Supporting the administration of electronic communication platforms such as Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams groups.
  • Supporting procurement and purchasing activity associated with the Workforce Development Team, in line with Trust financial procedures.
  • Supporting the delivery of the annual training plan, including monitoring progress and providing updates to key stakeholders.
  • Providing administrative support to wider learning and development activities, including events, exhibitions and time-sensitive projects.
  • Contributing to the development of policies, procedures and associated documentation within the team.
  • Supporting the Workforce Development Team in meeting regulatory requirements.
