An exciting fixed-term opportunity has arisen within the Wellbeing and Inclusion Team.
As the Wellbeing and Inclusion Assistant, you will assist in the development and delivery of the team's work programme, which will include Health and Wellbeing, Staff Engagement activities including the annual NHS Staff Survey and Quarterly Pulse Surveys and the Flu Vaccination Campaign and all matters relating to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion on behalf of the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The post will be at the forefront of providing a comprehensive and professional People service to the managers and employees of the Trust with a specific focus on Wellbeing and Inclusion.; therefore, an ability to build good working relationships is pivotal. Through excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills you will support and advise management on a variety of Wellbeing and Inclusion issues at an operational level ensuring that decision making is consistent with current employment legislation and good employment practice.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To ensure that the Trust’s current Wellbeing and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies and procedures are observed, advising managers and staff on their interpretation and application.
- To undertake policy development and reviews as directed by the Head of Wellbeing and Inclusion and or Senior Wellbeing and Inclusion Advisor. To support the development, promotion and achievement of objectives of the Trust’s annual, EDS 2022, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Workforce Race Equality Standards and Workforce Disability Equality Standards reports.
To maintain/utilise relevant People information systems to inform actions and decision-making processes.

- Certificate in Personnel Practice or working towards
Experience/Knowledge

- Operational experience in Wellbeing and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion matters in a complex and large organistion.
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation related to core employment issues Experience of advising staff and managers on wellbeing and equality, diversity and inclusion issues
- Experience of working with trade union officers/representatives
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
