Main duties of the job

As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will support the Wellbeing Coordinator in offering a variety of activities that enhance the physical, cognitive, and social well-being of residents. Your role involves ensuring a positive image of the home, reporting any changes in residents' conditions, preparing supplies for activities, and fostering connections with the local community to promote engagement. Working every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm at Astbury Manor Care Home in Bracknell, you will be making a meaningful impact on residents' lives, with opportunities for career development in a supportive and caring environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be tosupportthe Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Maintaininga safe living and working environment,contributing to the positive and professional image of thehome.
  • Reporting any changes in residents physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
  • Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
  • Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.
