Ward 14, Paediatric Oncology / Haematology Day Unit Clinic are recruiting for one full-time Ward Clerk to join the team. The unit is a busy and dynamic environment, supporting children and young people who attend with a wide range of Oncological and Haematological conditions.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the unit. This includes providing administrative support to the clinical team, ensuring accurate patient information management, and contributing to a welcoming and efficient service for patients and families in a fast-paced acute setting.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To provide and maintain efficient and effective administrative support to the day to day running of a very Busy Childrens Oncology / Haematology Out-patient department.
- Contribute to the delivery of a consistently high standard of patient care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Ensures appointments, clerking, bookings and clinics are organised and managed in an efficient manner.
- Use of E-record and SCHAPPT Book for management of clinics.
- To ensure that case notes are correctly maintained following departmental guidelines and compliance with legislation (Caldicott Guidelines etc).
- Ensuring PAS system is up to date and accurate.
