An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Womens and Childrens division for a Ward Clerk. The successful candidate will be based on Ward 26
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working and flexible individual to assist us in providing the best service at all times, Shifts will be 2 fixed long days per week. If you think you have these qualities then we look forward to welcoming you to our team.
Main duties of the job
Applicants will need excellent communication skills and experience of dealing with the general public and will need to have good IT skills.
The main duties will include answering the telephone, filing, reception desk and updating the patient system.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide a comprehensive administration and clerical service within the ward. The post holder will be required to understand ward systems, taking into account the needs of patients who require admission, transfer and discharge, and be expected to communicate with a wide range of professionals, consultants, doctors, nursing staff and patients/relatives and carers, organising own workload in order to maintain an efficient and professional service.
