Based at Darent Valley Hospital:
- Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Band 2 – A developmental post: complete a 6-month programme leading to the Care Certificate, with progression to Band 3.
- HCA Band 3 – For candidates who already hold a Care Certificate and meet the person specification.
- Maternity Support Worker (MSW) Band 3 – Candidates must meet the person specification.
- Therapy Assistant Band 2 – Candidates must meet the person specification
Based at Darent Valley Hospital or Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup:
- Theatre Support Worker (TSW) Band 2 – Candidates must meet the person specification.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work independently as a member of the nursing team following agreed plans of care pathways.
They will provide support for the Registered Nursing staff in maintaining a stable and safe clinical environment.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Undertakes duties on wards, across the Trust, as required by service demands.
Courteously receives patients/clients, relatives and visitors onto the ward.

Essential
- Able to act on own initiative (in relation to delivering patient/client care)
- Experience of working in a caring environment, either in health, social or voluntary services

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Interpersonal Skills
- IT literate

- Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy) GCSE grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
