An Anaesthetic Trust Grade post has become available within the department of Perioperative medicine at Whipps Cross Hospital. These posts are funded by Barts Health and are therefore Trust Grade appointments. They attract the MN37 payscale, 1A banding supplement (50%) and london weighting. These posts may also assist successful candidates who are working towards Stage 1 RCoA competencies.
Main duties of the job
This is an excellent opportunity for dynamic individuals with the appropriate skills to join a first class multi-disciplinary team providing the full range of services to the majority of East London and beyond in a progressive London teaching hospital environment.
The post will commence on Aug 5th 2026, and will be for 6 months, with opportunity to extend further by mutual agreement.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Department of Perioperative Medicine provides anaesthesia for all surgical specialities and is involved in many exciting initiatives. The Critical Care Unit/s comprises 17 beds. There are 800 - 900 admissions per year. The maternity unit provides an engaging training environment and has 4500-5000 deliveries/year. On calls are on a 1:8 rolling rota and will be in either Emergency theatres, critical care or obstetrics.
