The role:
An exciting 6-month secondment opportunity has become available for a Transformation Programme Manager within the GP Out of Hours (OOH) Service. This pivotal role will support our commitment to enhancing patient care and will play a key leadership role in the development and implementation of the GP Walk-in Centre (WiC).
This opportunity is ideally suited to an individual who is driven by purpose, energised by organisational development, and passionate about creating high-quality, patient-centred services while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
The Transformation Programme Manager will work closely with the GP OOH Senior Management Team, providing leadership and expertise to support transformational change across the service. You will lead and facilitate service planning, performance improvement, and service redesign, ensuring that best practice and innovation are embedded throughout the development of the Walk-in Centre.
You will play a critical role in influencing change to improve quality, safety, efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring services remain responsive, sustainable and focused on delivering excellent patient experience.

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
