We need highly motivated and suitably dedicated personnel for the available position as a Theatre Assistant working in Wrexham Maelor Hospital Operating Theatres.
All new starters will be supported via the preceptorship programme that is available within the department.
Initial appointment at band 2. Once in house competencies completed you will progress to a band 3.
Main duties of the job
Providing support for the delivery of higher standard care to patients within the theatre complex. To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the theatre, ensuring that patient care is non-discriminatory and non-prejudicial and of a high standard. To carry out tasks in accordance with unit policies and procedures.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Experience of working within a relevant health or social care environment providing direct patient care

Qualifications
Essential
- Level 3 qualification in health care related subject or equivalent experience and can evidence work based competency demonstrating theoretical knowledge and the ability to undertake clinical care duties relevant for the role which is gained through experience and worked based training/short courses
- Knowledge of the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales and All Wales Delegation Guidelines (HEIW)
- Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures within a Healthcare setting for example the principles of Safeguarding adults/children to keep patients within their care safe, and confidentially for example General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
Desirable
- Level 3 qualification in perioperative support/or equivalent qualification
