The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is a respected and long‑established charity based at 20 Dumbreck Road, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow G41 5BW. We deliver specialist palliative care to people living with life‑limiting, progressive illnesses, while offering vital support to their families and carers.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to join our multi‑disciplinary team, providing counselling and emotional support to patients (including young adults), their families, friends, and to children and young people referred to our Family Support Service.
In this role, you will manage your own caseload and play an active part in the development and coordination of our Family Support Services. Your insight, ideas, and previous experience will help shape and enhance the support we offer.
You will also contribute to the psychological and emotional care of children, young people, adults, and families by delivering and supporting educational programmes across professional groups, as well as contributing to the ongoing operational development of the service.
Applicants should hold a degree or diploma in counselling or a related discipline. You will be able to demonstrate experience working with adults and young people who are facing or experiencing loss, along with a strong grounding in at least one counselling approach.
A commitment to high‑quality care, a patient‑ and family‑centred approach, and excellent communication skills are essential.
