Main duties of the job

Use your knowledge, experience, and caring nature to positively impact the lives of adults with learning disabilities. Join an inclusive and supportive team, providing care to individuals with diverse needs. Engage in activities such as ward rounds, analyzing behaviors, updating patient records, and assisting with personal hygiene. Though challenging, it's rewarding to witness improvements in individuals due to your involvement. This full-time position offers 35 contracted hours weekly on shifts between 7am and 10pm, including weekends on a rota basis. Experience with autism and epilepsy, and the willingness to undergo a DBS check are required.

What you will be doing You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with a range of needs, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recovery pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life. Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you've made someone's life better. This is a permanent, full-time position, 35 contracted hours a week, working on shifts between the hours of 7am and 10pm, including weekends, on a rota basis. **You must have relevant experience with autism and epilepsy, and be willing to undergo a DBS check.** Where you will be working: Location: 1 Prideaux Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN21 2NW Ranworth House is a 9-bed residential service with ensuite bedrooms, for all gender identities who have a learning disability, or who are autistic, and have behaviours which, due to their diagnosis, may be of concern/distress. Residents may also have profound and multiple communication difficulties, sensory impairments and physical health problems.
