Ardsley House£13.45 per hourFull Time – 36 hours with shift patterns covering the 7 days. Ardsley House has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team on varying shift patterns but primarily 8am - 8pm.Ardsley House is located in East Ardsley, near Wakefield. It offers residential support for 13 males and females with a range of needs. This includes adults with a primary learning disability diagnosis, individuals with a physical disability, mental health needs and people on the autism spectrum. It is accessible by public transport, with a bus stop outside the home and a train station approximately 7 minutes’ drive away. The M1 and M62 motorways are also a short drive away. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.
What you'll be doing
- Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
- Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
- Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
- Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
- Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
- Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress.
- Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.
