Main duties of the job

As a Support Worker at Enable, based in Chard, you'll be responsible for making a difference in the lives of young individuals with complex support needs. The role involves supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health conditions, and complex needs. You will work in a supported living environment aimed at helping individuals live independently within their own homes and the local community. Your responsibilities will include encouraging community involvement, supporting daily activities such as social interactions, personal care, meal planning, and budgeting, as well as effective communication using preferred methods. The job also involves promoting positive behavioral support approaches, maintaining accurate records, and reporting any changes in service users' health or circumstances.
