Shift work 08:000 - 20.00/20:00-8:00.Beacon House is located in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire and is a residential addiction treatment service. It is accessible by public transport, with Melton Mowbray railway station and local bus links nearby. The town centre is less than 1 mile away, although public transport services may be limited at certain times. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.
What you'll be doing
As an experienced support worker, you will guide clients through daily group sessions, evening recovery-focused activities and psychoeducational workshops. Each element is designed to help clients develop practical coping strategies, build resilience and reduce their responses to everyday triggers.
- Ensure that the people who use our service have any needs or requirements met; including participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
- Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
- Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
- Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.
- To undertake keyworking responsibility for individual clients, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed. You can find additional information in the attached job description.
