Main duties of the job

The role of a Support Worker at Enable involves providing personal care to women, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs. The position requires an enthusiastic individual with great people skills and a positive, proactive approach. The job is based at Furlong Close, Rowde, Devizes, supporting up to 38 people living across seven bungalows. The aim is to enable people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community. As a support worker, you will encourage independence, assist in daily living activities, and maintain effective communication using people's chosen methods.

Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating -effectively communicate using peoples chosen methods

Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording -keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
