An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly organised Band 3 Support Medical Secretary to work 37.5 hours per week, working for Wigan Specialist Community Mental Health Team.
We are seeking to recruit, a Support Medical Secretary with a can-do attitude who enjoys working in a team and demonstrates a commitment to delivering high quality secretarial and administrative support in an efficient and timely manner.

Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Main duties of the job
Undertake audiotyping and clerical duties for your consultants, including minute taking as required, clinical letters, reports, discharge correspondence and clinical activity data inputting. This may include administrative support relating to consultant clinics.
Provide first point of contact for written and telephone enquiries on behalf of your consultant, using judgement to establish validity and priority of the contact.
Deal with any admission enquiries using judgement and observing patient confidentiality at all times.
The post-holder will work as part of a dynamic team supporting medical secretaries (as and when), the admin team, consultants, clinicians and team managers in the smooth running of the SCMHT.
