Main duties of the job

As a Station Manager, you will provide visible and compassionate leadership across one or more ambulance stations, creating a culture where staff feel supported, valued, and motivated to deliver high-quality patient care. You will lead diverse teams, ensuring wellbeing, development, and performance are consistently prioritised. You will be accountable for delivering operational performance across quality, workforce, finance, and efficiency, making informed decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to respond to changing demand. You will also play a key role in incident and command structures, acting as an Operational Commander when required, while supporting staff following challenging events and promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with clinical leaders and partners, you will ensure strong governance, manage investigations and complaints, and contribute to service improvement and transformational change across the organisation.
