Main duties of the job

As a Band 5 Nurse on Ward C7, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective and compassionate care to a cohort of patients with diverse and often complex needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised patient care
  • Recognising and responding to deteriorating patients
  • Supporting patients with frailty, dementia, delirium and complex discharge needs
  • Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure holistic care
  • Administering medications safely and effectively
  • Supporting and supervising junior staff and students
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of care
