As a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, you will provide regular intervention for CYP by delivering therapy programmes devised by a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (SLT). Main duties of the job

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our Children's Speech and Language Therapy team. In this role, you will support children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs by delivering therapy programs devised by a qualified Speech and Language Therapist. You will be integral in developing the skills and confidence of the Team Around the Child, enabling communication strategies to be embedded in everyday environments. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records, providing administrative support to SLTs, and contributing to effective service delivery. We offer one part-time role, 22.5 hours per week, with flexible hours and term-time only work, facilitating a balance between work and personal commitments. The position is based in Salisbury, with travel to various educational settings across South Wiltshire.   • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills including the ability to listen well and show empathy as well as be able to deal with difficult/sensitive situations.
  • Have a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Be able to communicate clearly, directly and honestly, in an open manner.
  • Have a good awareness of self and of others.
  • Good skills with IT.
  • Demonstrate ability to document details clearly and accurately.
