Speech & Language Therapist – Adult Inpatients and Outpatients

We have a new exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join the General Oncology SLT service at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Following a restructuring of the General Oncology SLT team, this Band 5 role is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills and experience in working with adult inpatients and outpatients in a specialist team.
The successful candidate will join the team of 0.75 B7 and 1.0 B6 SLTs delivering high-quality care to adult inpatients and outpatients with communication and/or swallowing disorders arising from cancer (excluding head and neck cancers). You will be based at Guy’s Hospital and in Guy’s Cancer Centre working in a range of settings including multidisciplinary clinics and inpatient wards.
Applicants who are awaiting 2026 HCPC registration are welcome to apply, however please note employment will commence at Band 4 level until full registration is obtained. Applicants should be available to start full time employment from July 2026.

The post holder will be responsible for provision of a high-quality Speech and Language Therapy service to adult inpatients and outpatients presenting with communication and/or swallowing impairment arising from cancer (excluding head and neck cancers).
