The successful candidate will demonstrate a wide grounding in all aspects of radiology and a willingness to be involved in teaching at undergraduate level. Initially this is a fixed term post for 1 year but is highly likely to be extended if desirable for the department and the successful candidate
The Radiology service is modern offering a range of modalities, supported by a comprehensive PACS network. The main department is situated at Frimley Park Hospital with potential sessions at Aldershot Centre for Health.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will assist in delivering CT and MRI reporting, plain film reporting, ultrasound lists (primarily inpatient scanning) and fluoroscopic screening investigations. There will also be the opportunity to perform some interventional procedures. All sessions will have Consultant supervision whether direct or indirect.

PURPOSE OF JOB:
To provide a full General Radiology service with Consultant supervision
Audit & Clinical Governance
A half day per month is dedicated to audit and teaching. All elective work is cancelled for this session and all staff are expected to attend and participate as part of clinical governance arrangements. There is strong culture of collaborative learning with teaching and regular REALM meetings. All CPD requirements must be met.
On Call
There is an on-call rota which currently runs at a 1 in 7. On-call shifts finish at 10.00pm with a day off pre- and post weekend on-call. All on-calls are covered by a Consultant.
Off Site
Some sessions may be delivered at peripheral sites - Heatherwood and Aldershot.
Teaching
The successful candidate is welcome to participate in the teaching programme if appropriate
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The terms and conditions of service will be those applicable to the new Contract and any offer is subject to satisfactory Occupational Health clearance as per the Clothier Report recommendations, and GMC registration.
Employment will also be governed by the Trust’s employment policies and procedures
The post holder will be required to reside not more than 30 minutes travel time from Frimley Park Hospital when on call.
