Job summary
Specialty Doctor in the department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology This is a 10 PA appointment for a Specialty Doctor in Obstetric and Gynaecology. This post will be available immediately and is a substantive appointment.
Main duties of the job
This post will deliver 10PAs supporting the Obstetric and Gynaecology department, participating in the Tier 3 resident rota and will deliver regular clinical sessions by mutual agreement. Due to the broad range of services we provide, this post is ideal for individuals wishing to develop their portfolio for submission to the portfolio pathway for specialist registration (formerly CESR pathway). The post will be based cross site at SJUH and LGI. Applicants should have established skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and be confident to deliver resident middle grade clinical activity in obstetrics and gynaecology. Excellent communication and team working skills, a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential.

What you will bring to the role
To deliver Obstetrics and Gynaecology care to patients at the Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust including:
- Antenatal out-patient clinics
- Gynaecology out-patient clinics
- Elective Caesarean section lists
- Obstetric and Gynaecology Ambulatory areas, including postnatal ward review.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings, including incident reviews, audit and teaching.
- To deliver clinical care reflecting the interests of the successful candidate, to include mentoring and support provided from within the department. Areas of potential interest can include areas across the obstetric and gynaecology specialties including (and not limited to) colposcopy, hysteroscopy, gynaecology surgery, maternal medicine, fetal medicine, high risk obstetrics, recurrent miscarriage, etc. Candidates are encouraged to contact the department to discuss availability if candidates have specific requirements.
