Applications are welcome for a Permanent Speciality Doctor post in Obstetrics and Gynaecology working 10 sessions per week at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary. The post-holder will work as part of the resident 1 in 7 on-call rota. The successful applicant will be encouraged to take an active part in service development.
Obstetrics and gynaecology experience of at least two years ST3+, or equivalent, in the specialty is essential. MRCOG part 1, or equivalent, is required and MRCOG part 2, or equivalent, is preferred. All applicants must hold valid registration with the GMC.
Out of hours commitment is on a resident full shift rota, approximating to a 1 in 7 rota. Elective daytime sessions will vary depending on the frequency of on call. This will include Theatre and clinic rotation.
The annual delivery rate is approximately 1150. The successful applicant will join an enthusiastic team of five Consultants, five Speciality Doctors and three specialty trainees.
