The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700

Do you want to come and gain experience in the management of drug and alcohol users in a leading residential unit with an expert clinical team, whilst at the same time working with the biggest Addiction Service in Europe?

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde addiction services are responsible for the delivery of addiction treatment and care services for currently over 10,000 clients.

The system of care includes locality Community Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services through to inpatient care, commissioned residential units and pioneering heroin assisted treatment and a Safer Drug Consumption Facility.

Our multidisciplinary structure includes professionals from the fields of medicine, nursing, social care, psychology, occupational therapy, dietetics and pharmacy.

The medical team support doctors in training and medical students from Glasgow University and beyond.. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed specialty grade doctor to join our multi-disciplinary team in The Kershaw Unit, Gartnavel; and to support out-patient clinics in the community in Glasgow HSCP.

The post-holder will be based in the Kershaw Unit, have consultant and MDT support and have access to CPD time and resources.

All applicants must possess full GMC registration, a licence to practice, with at least 4 Years full time Post Graduate Training, two of which must have been in relevant acute specialties or you will demonstrate and evidence equivalent experience and competencies.
