You will participate in the provision of a safe, efficient and cost-effective Aseptic Preparation Service for Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Training and revalidation of staff in all aseptic practices as well as assisting the managers on daily duties. You will be working together with our Senior Technician, Assistants, and other junior staff to help develop their skills in this area, as well as making sure we continue to improve our aseptic services.
Main duties of the job
- To assist in the provision of a high quality, patient focused, aseptic service, to patients of the trust particularly regarding provision of a chemotherapy compounding service.
- To assist the senior technicians in the day to day running of the pharmacy aseptic service, including the training of technicians, apprentices and assistants in the technical aspects of the service.
- To help facilitate and support the efficient and cost-effective use of medicines within the aseptic unit.
To provide safe, timely, cost effective appropriate and high quality pharmaceutical services for patients and staff.
