Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse looking to make a real difference in the lives of individuals affected by substance use?
We are seeking a Specialist Recovery Nurse to join our dynamic Inclusion team in Hampshire. This role focuses on delivering high-quality clinical and therapeutic services, including health screening, blood borne virus (BBV) initiatives, and community detoxification programmes.
You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care to service users and their families.
The successful applicant will need knowledge and experience of drug and alcohol use and the harms this can cause, as well as a positive attitude in supporting our clients in meeting their healthcare needs. This is a job that truly makes a difference.
There may be requirements to support other Hampshire-based Inclusion services in clinical interventions so a willingness to travel is essential
Main duties of the job
- Deliver tailored treatment interventions including health assessments, BBV screening, and detox programmes
- Lead on BBV provision and health screening clinics
- Support and train staff in healthcare procedures
- Provide support and to a caseload of service users who use drugs and/or alcohol
- Effective and dynamically assess and manage the risks faced by the service users you are supporting
- Develop effective and evidence based care plans
- Maintain effective liaison with external agencies including GPs, probation services, and housing organisations
- Provide clinical supervision and contribute to staff training
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development

- Support community detoxification and work towards non-medical prescribing
- Manage clinical equipment
- Engage with IT systems for data collection and reporting
- Represent the service at internal and external meetings
- Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and equality policies
