An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Inpatient Critical Care and Surgery Therapy Team at Peterborough City Hospital. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team in this part-time role.
The Critical Care Team provides acute inpatient services to Critical Care Unit, Surgical, Respiratory and Cardiac wards as well as Respiratory Outpatient clinics. The post whilst static in the team has internal rotations to experience the wide variety of clinical opportunities within the team.
Successful candidates need to be fully qualified and HCPC registered with relevant experience as well as drive and dedication. You should be forward thinking, dynamic, and have the desire to develop and improve the service further. This role includes supporting the provision of a 365 day a year On Call service. Experience of working on an On Call rota is essential.
Interviews for this role will be conducted in person to assess relevant skills effectively
Main duties of the job
- To enable Physiotherapy to provide Therapy Skills within the inpatient service To ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of patient focussed care in line with identified evidence based practice, local and national standards To work collaboratively within Multidisciplinary and Multi-agency Teams To participate in delegated projects for service development with the team To act autonomously in the assessment and treatment of patients within the speciality who may have a complex presentation To demonstrate a flexible approach to working in support of the whole inpatient/patient team To undertake weekend working as required within service developments To be available to provide Clinical Supervision This role entails 80% Clinical Contact and 20% Operational Management as appropriate within team requirements To guide Band 5 and support staff in the management and delivery of therapeutic care plans

- Wide variety of experience in core rotations as a Band 5 Physiotherapist or equivalent including respiratory care

- Weekend working , either as part of front of house or on-call
