We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our established Perinatal Mental Health Liaison Team, supporting women and families across Hull, East Riding, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
As part of a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, psychological therapists, a social worker and nursery nurses, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred and family-focused care.
Occupational Therapy is highly valued within the service. You will receive regular supervision from an experienced Advanced Occupational Therapist and have opportunities to develop specialist skills, support students, participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development.

Main duties of the job
The core functions of this post include assessing and treating your own specialist caseload of clients for a professional OT service, providing specialist OT advice to other disciplines, supervising junior staff, students, support workers, leading/contributing to clinical audits, undertaking research and ensuring effective patient/service-user care is maintained.
The post holder will be expected to work independently using the MOHO as the main framework for assessment. They will need to possess effective time management skills and be able to commute across the Humber 4 patches.. There will also be an expectation that the post holder hold a Care Co-ordinator role for some patients going forward.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting women experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties to regain confidence, independence and engagement in meaningful occupations. Using a holistic biopsychosocial approach, you will undertake MOHO-informed assessments, develop personalised intervention plans and deliver evidence-based interventions that promote recovery, wellbeing and family functioning. You will use outcome measures, including TOMs, to demonstrate impact and contribute to service improvement.
