An exciting opportunity to work in a highly specialised area of therapy and develop skills in orthopaedic splinting and bracing. This post is available between September 2026 and October 2027.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will run their own clinics focussing on the fitting of off the shelf braces and fabricating thermoplastic splints. Patients will present with both acute and long term orthopaedic conditions involving the upper and lower limbs and spine. There will also be an opportunity to work in our busy fracture clinic when required. The post is primarily outpatient based but some work may be carried out on the wards.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently under pressure for extended periods and demonstrate a high level of practical skills. Some manual handling may be necessary. Training will be given where appropriate but the post holder will be expected to have some basic experience in trauma and orthopaedics.
