The Role

To provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for children with neurodevelopmental needs, consistent with local and national specifications, participate in the multidisciplinary formulation of children with identified neurodevelopmental needs, and provide occupational therapy interventions. The Neurodevelopmental Service is expanding, and we are looking for a range of clinicians with a passion for neurodevelopmental practice to join the service. Training will be provided, and you will be supported to develop your assessment and diagnostic skills. Posts are available within our School Teams and North and South Locality Teams.

Additional Information Specific to the Role

This post will be part of a large multi-disciplinary neurodevelopmental service, supporting the assessment and intervention of children of Lanarkshire with neurodevelopmental needs.

In this key role, you will:

  • Responsible for the Occupational Therapy triage, assessment and rehabilitation for a specialist caseload
  • Provide specialist education and advice to occupational therapy staff members, multi-disciplinary team and other agencies.
  • Plan and organise the delivery of service within designated area of work.
  • Undertakes audit and research in line with clinical governance agenda and may lead specific projects.

What You'll Bring:

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration
  • Educated to and operating at Degree Level
  • Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice
  • A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
