We are Contact Point. We receive referrals from across Hull and East Yorkshire for children and young people seeking support with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. Working within the i-THRIVE model, we assess the needs of young people and support families to navigate services, ensuring they receive the right support, at the right time, from the right service.

Main duties of the job
- You will have strong engagement and excellent communication skills, along with experience of working collaboratively with other agencies and professions.
- You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, undertaking risk screening and triage assessments of young people and their families.
- You will liaise with and offer consultation to education, health, social care, and voluntary and community sector staff from a range of agencies.
- You will also lead and supervise interventions provided by junior staff.
- Experience of working with young people with emotional or mental health difficulties is essential.

- Evidence of development of specialist practice nursing skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at specialist level of care
Desirable
- Demonstrable experience of working in the specific field where the post is held.
Skills and Competencies
Essential
- Effective inter-personal skills and experience in supervising and mentoring.
- Able to demonstrate effective communication skills.

- Effective IT skills to use computer systems
Qualifications and Knowledge

- Part III or 13 of NMC live register
- Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. The Mental Health Act (1983), Mental Capacity Act, Social Inclusion

- Evidence of CPD or experiential learning at an advanced level e.g. Postgraduate/Masters level
