Job overview
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to come and join our team at SHPU and work as a Specialist Nurse - Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Treatment Suite Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist service delivering safe, high-quality and evidence - based care to patients who are receiving ECT.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively across a wide range of professionals as part of an MDT as well as working autonomously.
We are looking highly motivated and experienced individual who is passionate about providing person centred and compassionate patient care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist nursing leadership and clinical expertise within the ECT suite, ensuring safe effective and person centered care. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating ECT before, during and after treatment and will work closely with the MDT to ensure high standards of care.
Key responsibilities will include (not exclusive) undertaking patient assessments, monitoring of physical and mental health and supporting patients, families and carers throughout the process.
The post also includes maintaining ECTAS accreditation and working within these guidelines, ensuring the adherence to legal frameworks and both local and national policies.
The post holder will support service development, provide supervision and support junior staff whilst maintaining accurate clinical records. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
