Band 6/7/8A (Dependant on experience) Full time and part time hours will be considered

We are looking for pharmacists to join our team in Perth & Kinross with positions available in both rural and city locations for pharmacists at the beginning of their career or those already performing at middle or senior grades.

NHS Tayside has been at the forefront of the development of the General Practice clinical pharmacy role

since 1997. The well established, patient centred service aims to maximise the skills of our pharmacy professionals who are an integral part of General Practice healthcare.

We are a friendly and sociable, forward thinking team with excellent peer support networks locally and across Tayside and Scotland.

The roles will be based in GP practices and may include the opportunity to work in one of the rural community hospitals. Pharmacists in Perth provide input to the two hubs which deliver level 1 pharmacotherapy services. Work is underway to develop virtual hubs to provide an equivalent service for the rural localities in the North and South.

We aim for excellence within our teams with staff supported to achieve their full potential via robust training and development frameworks. As a pharmacist working within NHS Tayside, you will be supported in the ongoing development of your professional practice and clinical skills, aligned with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Post-Registration Foundation Pharmacist and/or Core Advanced Pharmacist Practice Frameworks. Where appropriate, this support will include opportunities for post-graduate study including Pharmacist Independent Prescribing.

Applications are welcome from pharmacists working in any sector and those intersected in full time or part time working will be considered. Our teams are well established in General Practice and we value the benefits of working together in-person with the multidisciplinary teams. We do recognise that hybrid working may be beneficial and are developing plans for incorporating this as an option for our staff.

The service we provide to the population of Perth & Kinross is sub-divided into five clusters: North West Perthshire (Pitlochry/Aberfeldy/Dunkeld/Stanley), Strathmore (Blairgowrie/Alyth/Coupar Angus), Perth City, South East Perthshire (Kinross/Errol) and Strathearn (Auchterarder/Crieff/Comrie) with vacancies currently available in most clusters.

Perth & Kinross is a fantastic location to live and work with beautiful countryside and all that that offers on your doorstep. The city of Perth is about an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh and is perfectly placed as a base to explore the rest of the country.

If you are interested in joining our friendly, progressive team and would like more information then please get in touch.
