The Role

The post holder will work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to coordinated care and shared decision-making. They will support and develop digital/remote interventions to enhance service accessibility and patient engagement. This role requires effective communication, organisational skills, and the ability to manage a varied and sometimes conflicting priorities working to tight deadlines.The post holder will contribute to service improvement initiatives and support the implementation of evidence-based pathways aligned with national and local priorities.

Please note this is a fixed term post for 23 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

Please note this is also a Part Time position - 15 hours.

In this key role, you will:

• To communicate and receive complex and sensitive information and present this in an understandable form to patients which may include giving unwelcome or difficult to accept information.
• To work within the British Dietetic Association Code of Professional Conduct, Health Professions Council (HPC) Standards and demonstrate relevant professional development activities and the maintenance of expertise, knowledge and skills, including CPD, membership of specialist interest groups and maintaining personal CPD portfolio.
• To lead in identifying training, planning, developing, executing and evaluating training and education needs of clinical colleagues, other health care staff and external agencies, within areas of clinical speciality.
• To act on behalf of the Nutrition and Dietetic Services Manager for operational issues, to provide clinical support and contribute to service development, including representation at meetings.

What You'll Bring:

• Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration
• Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
• Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
• A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
