
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an 8a clinical/counselling psychologist to join the existing clinical health psychology team at Bolton Foundation Trust. The Clinical health psychology service has a supportive team working into a number of different specialities within the trust, with well established links to the North West Clinical Psychology training courses.
As a specialist psychologist, you will work in an already established Heart failure team and Young Persons Diabetes Team. You will be responsible for clinical psychology provision within the Heart Failure service and Young persons Diabetes service.
The post holder provides specialist psychological assessment and intervention, advice and consultation to non-psychological colleagues, across heart failure/ cardiac care and young persons diabetes care . You will provide specialised assessments and interventions in these multi-disciplinary settings including wards and medical out-patient clinics. You will provide training and supervision to members of the multidisciplinary team in order to improve psychological input. In addition to working within these services, you will provide specialised assessment and intervention to general health patients from other specialisms for e.g. palliative, cancer, gastroenterology.
