Full time Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse Interventional Radiology Theatre
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a FT Senior Charge Nurse for the Interventional Radiology Theatres at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
This is a busy, dynamic department composing of two IR theatres and 6 peripheral modality areas.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, have extensive post registration experience, a background in Interventional radiology is essential. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to make effective clinical decisions, often at short notice, be highly visible, and provide supervision and Managerial Support to the nursing team. The post holder will bring a proactive influence working collaboratively with the wider Multidisciplinary Team and be expected to champion innovative practice and development within the field of Radiology nursing.
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and management experience are essential to this post, along with sound organisational skills and a commitment to ensuring that high standards of care are provided and maintained to patients and families.As a Senior Charge Nurse you will provide strong and proven focussed nursing leadership.. The ability to motivate staff and act as a positive role model is essential. As SCN you will line manage your own team and show a full understanding of staff abilities, promote and participate and support the PEF in the delivery of staff education including Health and Safety training.
