We are looking to appoint a dynamic and compassionate Social Worker to join the Social Work Team at Rampton Hospital, part of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
In this role, you will report to the Social Work Manager and play a key part in delivering a high‑quality Social Care service to a forensic patient population across our four clinical care streams which includes Men's Mental Health, Men's Personality Disorder, National High Secure Women's Service, National High Secure Deaf Service and National Learning Disability Service.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking confident and motivated social worker to provide a high‑quality service to a caseload of up to 25 forensic patients and their families/ carers. You will work as part of a dynamic multi‑disciplinary team, liaising with external agencies and contributing to complex assessments and reports.
You should have an interest in secure mental health services, be knowledgeable about relevant legislation, and have a strong understanding of safeguarding adults and children.

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and values‑driven Social Worker to join the Forensic Social Work Team at Rampton Hospital, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
You will provide a high‑quality social work service to forensic psychiatric patients detained within high secure services, working collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. The role involves engaging respectfully with patients, families, carers, social care partners, and probation services, balancing risk management, public protection, and individual quality of life.
You will promote dignity, inclusion, and anti‑discriminatory practice, and take a lead role in safeguarding adults and children, including applying government guidance for visits to High Secure Hospitals.
A full UK driving licence is essential, as travel to other secure units is required.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
