NHS Highland is looking for a compassionate and motivated Social Care Worker to join our Older Adult Day Care Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work with older adults, including people living with dementia, physical disabilities and complex health needs, supporting them to achieve their personal outcomes and maintain their independence.

What you'll do

As a Social Care Worker, you will:

  • Act as a keyworker, contributing to the assessment, planning and review of individual care plans.
  • Deliver person-centred care and support in a safe, respectful and dignified manner.
  • Support individuals with personal care, nutrition, mobility and medication in line with NHS Highland policies.
  • Develop and facilitate meaningful activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social inclusion.
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Contribute to risk assessment, record keeping, reviews and service improvement activities.
  • Occasionally support the day-to-day running of the Day Centre in the absence of management.

You will:

✅ Hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards ✅ Have experience supporting vulnerable adults

✅ Be committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care✅ Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills✅ Be organised, adaptable and able to work independently when required✅ Have a genuine enthusiasm for supporting older adults to achieve their goals and maximise their quality of life
