
An exciting and challenging job opportunity has arisen within Gate 21, Haematology in patient ward. We are looking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse to join our team. Gate 21 is an 18 bedded acute haematology ward, caring for patients with a variety of complex haematological conditions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced nurse who is approachable, proactive and a dedicated leader with sound clinical skills. You will have significant relevant experience as a Band 5 or above. You will have a passion for delivering high quality patient care to support your colleagues.
The successful candidate will be a registered adult nurse with extensive post registration experience on a haematology ward. The successful candidate will be expected to use their expert clinical knowledge, alongside their leadership skills to provide high quality care to each and every one of our patients. You will be competent in administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy. You will also be expected to undertake further training to be competent in stem cell transplant and stem cell harvest.
The successful candidate will encourage effective communication to be maintained at all times and provide support to registered and unregistered nurses within the department
